Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the Garden Villa offered a convenient location close to facilities at a great price, the place was quite crowded with many kids around.
I arrived at the hotel and couldn't check into my room right away, but that gave me the chance to enjoy a lovely lunch at Chapman's Bar. The room I eventually settled into was very comfortable, complete with its own balcony where I was visited by curious hornbills. The reception staff were thorough, providing me with all the essentials like mosquito balm, slippers, and dressing gowns before escorting me to my room. However, the dining service was a bit chaotic, with food arriving in waves due to the size of our party.
The hotel has wonderful large bathrooms and lovely smelling amenities with easily dirtying outdoor bath tubs in the lower level rooms. The service is fantastic, and customer service is top-notch. The location is on an amazing private island with free transfer and shuttle services to the main island. The dining experience offers the most amazing Indian breakfasts and a delightful international buffet. The facilities are modern and convenient.
The hotel is a serene paradise with individual pavilions boasting a gorgeous stone bath and stunning ocean views, perfect for a romantic getaway. However, soundproofing could be improved as neighboring guests' conversations may be audible at night. The setting is tranquil, offering a private island experience with breathtaking scenery.
Staying at the hotel jetty with an amazing view of the ocean was fantastic overall. The rooms were amazing, spacious, clean, and attention to small details made the stay enjoyable. However, the cleanliness could have been better. The service at the Feast Village was friendly and welcoming, but some knowledge of simple Malay would have added a nice touch. The location on a private island reached by speedboat was picturesque and ideal for peace and quiet, although the pollution in the sea was disappointing. The dining experience offered excellent food choices but could be chaotic at times. Overall, great value for money with some areas for improvement.
